If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It!

June 2018

Wow, I can’t believe another quarter has flown by. My husband and I just returned from a two-week vacation in Colorado. We visited the Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, Buena Vista, Rocky Mountain National Forrest, along with zipping up to Cheyenne, Wyoming. We flew in on the red eye last Tuesday, returning to hot and humid Atlanta.

I want to encourage those of you who have dreamed about doing or being something different, but it never happened. I want you to dig those dreams up, dust them off, and start thinking about them again.

There are moments when a fleeting thought comes up and you ponder that thought. Too many times those thoughts have been dismissed by thinking: “It’s already been done” or “I couldn’t do that.”

Example:

  • The simplicity of adding an eraser to a pencil.
  • Creating a weed whacker that uses plastic string to trim and hedge the grass.

If money was no object, what would you like to do?

Write, paint, sing, dance, be a doctor, or rocket scientist?

What are the desires of your heart? Go revive those dream(s) and work to make them realities. You are never too old to see your dream(s) come true.

Recently, a 94-year-old WWII vet finally got his high school diploma, three decades later.

My dream started in 2006, and I am still working on it. I’ve learned a lot since then. I’ve learned a lot about “do’s” and “don’ts” in the business of writing. Yes, there are times I have gotten frustrated, but I refuse to stay that way. I keep pushing towards the mark set before me.

  • Go, revive your dream, in time it will come to pass.
